Comic 51: A Rare Opportunity - 2

found in Rare A Rare Opportunity - 2

Rare's story continues as he moves on to the 16-bit generation and now gets to work on a certain Nintendo franchise. This also means his games will from now on be Nintendo-exclusive...

The first panel will hopefully be familiar to anyone who played or know about Battletoads.

Oh... Battletoads... Wow.

And have I mentioned how much I love your history arcs?

by Zanreo at 23rd May 2015, 7:41 PM

Haha, yeah... I've actually never played it myself, but what I know is that it's frustratingly hard.

And thanks! It's really fun doing these :D

by Gamechamp at 23rd May 2015, 8:35 PM

Ooh, love triangle! This is getting good.

by Zanreo at 24th May 2015, 3:41 AM

It's starting to get interesting here, that's for sure!

Sega; Three times as obnoxious as Atari, and three times as deserving of his inevitable fate.

by Zanreo at 24th May 2015, 3:42 AM

Heh, indeed... And he's also going to get his "time to shine" in a later comic...

by Unsavory at 26th May 2015, 5:57 AM

Ooh, if only he'd chosen Pit. Super Kid Icarus would have been an awesome game!

by Zanreo at 26th May 2015, 11:02 PM

Yes, indeed! I imagine it would have looked really cool made by Rare...
Never played the original or Uprising, but might try them out one day

I like the possessive attitude of Nintendo!

by Zanreo at 17th Jun 2015, 4:47 PM

Thanks! Yeah, she know she'll have some great exclusives now

Ha! I'm sure that's EXACTLY how it went down. Exactly. Kid Icarus had so much potential. I wonder what he did with his life after fame. He's probably resting in some migratory bird rehab these days.

by Zanreo at 24th Jul 2015, 4:14 AM

Haha, yeah... and Kid Icarus did get "revived" years later, just by another company...
